I have no idea how it happened, and i am nowhere near a reptile vet- will have to treat myself...
There is nothing in her tank that would cause that amount of incidental damage to her, and she does not eat live food...
I know that Bepanthan is good for lots of skin probs with reptiles, but i dont know if i will need something more...im soooo worried for her :(

Please if you have any ideas pass them on- i am so thankful that there is a community i can ask!!

Does she have a plastic or metal vent or wire that she could rub on. In their efforts to escape they can rub their noses raw on mesh. A bit of betadine on a cotton bud and see if you can fix the problem so it doesn't keep happening.

How bad is the damage to her nose? Check how your enclosure is put together. I had a 5mm gap between the glass and the side (hard to explain, not a gap to the outside but a gap under the dowl that holds the glass in) and it was enough for my little girl to catch her nose on, I'd never even noticed it before). Check everything!

If her nose isn't too bad she will heal in a few sheds, can you post a pic?

OMG- thanks so much guys- she has vents in her tanks but the bottom/side is exposed, so she has the sharp bit. Never even thought of it but it is sooooo obvious now :) and I did think it was weird that she was sniffing around her vents alot...at least now I know!!

And yep, Bepanthen...it is an antiseptic baby rash cream that you can get from every chemist. I used to feed her live and she got attacked by one switched on rat, right when the local vet had a locum that was a reptile specialist! We used the Bepanthen for all her wounds and she healed totally in about 6 weeks (the bites were more mini meals that went to the bone) and there are only very small scars left one year on! The vet said that it is the best for topical stuff on reptiles coz it is antiseptic and its thick and sticky so stays on them when they go for a bit of a dip, and it doesnt worry them at all- non toxic and they cant taste it!!

Don't panic mine had the exact same injury (my freak out thread will be on here somewhere lol). My little girl shed twice a week apart and then has shed normally since and now you can barely see the little scar.

Jesus...
