Help installing Thermostat!

imo i wouldnt install it, honestly i dont see the need for a thermostat, waste of money and a false sense of security.
 
Put the probe at the coolest end of the enclosure, set the temperature to the minimum temp you want the enclosure to get down to, then use 25W party globes at the other end to create a heat gradient......it doesnt matter how warm the hot end gets, just so long as there is a refuge or cool area!
 
Looks pretty simple to me.
Place probe in desired location. Set desired temperatre. Plug light/heat mat into thermostat.
Shouldn't need any more "installation" than that.

How come you dont see a need? what if it gets too hot?

i only ever use a heating source that at the max will heat it to the desired temp, no chance of overheating like you get with using a high wattage heat source with a thermo have have the thermo fail. On one of those stinking hot days they can just retreat to the cool end, as long as the enclosure is setup well you dont need a thermostat and its alot safer IMO
