hi guys i realy need some help with my coastal carpet she is a hatchie and has feed 4 times since i bought her now she hasnt feed for nearly 2 months now and iam worried as just tried to feed agian and no good no even intrested in feeding whats the best thing i can do

Please provide some more information - enclosure, heating etc.

enclosure is a 120l tub with paper on bottom and a hide and water bowl temp is at 28 all the time. I have breed snakes and lizards for years and never had a prob like this think it might be a trip to the vet

okay, first off, there is a few other things that might need to be addressed, such as, the warm and cool end temperatures of your enclosure, whether or not the snake has sufficient hiding spots, what are you feeding etc. but, in saying this, i had the same problem with my Murray darling. he didn't eat for 6 weeks and i was worried but, i called reptile city and they said he can go 6 months before i need to worry about it more. i was feeding weaner mice and then tried pinkie rats. i just put it in some warm water so it defrosted, then made sure it was warm enough before offering it to the snake. took it straight away. maybe it is the different scent that attracted him? but now he never misses a feed :)
so,
- make sure ur temps are good
-there is a hide at both ends (security)
- try a different food source or even scent it in chicken broth etc
-make sure ur food source is warm when offered

Cheers :) hope that helps.

I wouldnt worry or stress too much,
Hatchies can go for many months without eating .
I could have a lot to do with the cooler weather.
All of ours have slowed down in the last couple of months.. and some havnt eaten at all for quite a while.

If they look healthy and are not losing condition - there should be little to worry about.

bump up the temp to 32 imo, make sure got good hides, also if the home it to big will not feel secure enough, if all that is good try scenting prety much well what every one has said, when you skinny how much weight is losing ?

You've been breeding for years but never had to deal with a non-feeder before?

Anyway, if you do a quick search of the site, you'll find dozens of tips on how to get a non-feeder feeding.

Good luck!

28 sounds too cool.. bump up the hot end to a nice 32 or so.

May also be just because it is winter.
