Aim for about 32 under the paper towel as the snake will go under it. The heat mat should be under 1/3 of the tub to allow the snake to properly thermoregulate on hot days. Don't worry too much about the cold side temps unless it's literally freezing. Main thing is that's there's a decent temp gradient.
