Hello


I put in a new heat mat for my geckos almost an hour ago (Why was I up at 6.30 on a saturday???). When should it be fully heated? I'm leaving for a week at 10am, and I want to make sure that it is the right temperature before I go.

Depends how deep your substrate is. Mines about 2 1/2 cm and I get a good indication of temps by at least an hour. I reckon maybe half and hour but i wait just to make sure. If not desired temps i turn the thermostat up or down accordingly.
