There's not a leaf moving here. It rained for about an hour and I even had 15 or so minutes of sunshine at about 2pm this afternoon.
Managed to get into the garden and pull some weeds while they were easy to get out. Maybe this is the calm before the storm. The one that you're getting that's probably headed for me as I type this haha.

It's been bucketing down here since 3pm. (I know this cos thats what time I went to the Buff Club, didn't leave till 5.45 when
the rain subsided a bit). Absolutely pelting down.

Are you kidding me? Aren't you at Beerimah? Rain has stopped just now.

Yeah at Berrimah. Nothing here, not a breath of wind. Hour of rain I had finished at 4:15pm. It tends to miss us a lot and goes around I think.
Edit: Friend just called from over at Lyons to see if I got the 'insane storm and really loud thunder' she had about 20 minutes ago. Nope. Definitely think it goes around lol.

Wow, at one stage we couldn't see the traffic coming out of the city, the rain was bucketing
so much. Can't believe gov has closed schools but wants people to go to work and drive home in gale force winds and torrential rain.
Wait and see I guess. I'm a bit concerned, haven't done my panic booze buying yet : )

Haha yeah the booze is a must. I laughed the first year we got up here and they put out a cyclone warning. We went to do our groceries as normal but we noticed the results of everyone panic-purchasing tinned foods, noodles and water. The shelves were bare and we were pretty shocked. Some people take it pretty seriously. I'm going to fill the car up with fuel tomorrow and restock my booze but other than that I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for something to actually happen.

I guess becuase we have such a transient population we always have a huge influx of newbies who panic.
We used to go to the supermarket to laugh at them but it's just ridiculous these days, people fighting over microwave dinners.

Ha ha ha. Where are you getting the power for the microwave.

We're lucky, we always have a surplus of supplies because we go camping all the time, but how many times
do people have to be told to be prepared? ( Says me with no booze)

Looks like it's off to annoy someone else further south, still plenty of rain, but danger passed.
