my blue tounge has stopped eating the food i put in.
i try to put in a range of stuff like dog food celery black berrys and so on
he usally eats most of the above do you think he has stopped eating becouse of hibernating coming up soon

No he has stopped because of Brumation not hibernation!

Yes i would assume this is the cause.
We keep a variety of skinks in outdoor pits and they have stopped taking food
from the start of April.
Reptiles are able to sense the change in the atmosphere/seasons and they will
respond to these conditions, as the winter change is upon us they will stop eating
in preperation for the brumation period.

The reason i corrected you on the term is there is a huge difference between
the two.
