Hide Size.

I have an 8 month old Black Headed Python named Monty. I've had him for 2 months now. he was just under a meter long when I got him, so I bought a small hide. I would like to understand the signs that indicate when to replace it with something larger. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

they like having the top and sides of their body touching the sides of the hide

you will know when it is too small when he bulges out the sides and can't fit in the cave

The best size hide is one they can only barely squeeze into. If they can still get into a hide there is no reasonto get a larger one.
