Stevent and I just drove 3630 k's in 3 days in temps over 43 with no air con.
So glad to be home but I'm exhausted. Looked it up on google it is supposed to take 41 hours.
We did it in 32. One of us is a leadfoot :)

Couldn't have timed it better, every town we went thru were recording ridiculous temps.
Makes good ole Darwin seem quite ambient.

Hope everyone is holding out okay in the high temps and good luck to those with fire threats.

You two have all the fun.

Glad to hear you got home safe.

We did 5800km in two weeks ( 1300 on the last day just to get home and out of the heat) had temps of 44 + and nights of 4 inhces of rain . What a great country we live in

It's certainly offers very differing countryside if you're prepared to travel. It's nice to get home after a long trip too.

Any particular reason you were torturing yourself like that?

Lost the air con on the way down. Time constraints, Xmas , New Years places were booked
out, getting it fixed wasn't going to happen till after we were due home.
On the bright side all the health benefits of a suana for free :)

lol, and to think people pay money to go in a sauna... maybe you should rent your car out by the hour and charge a competitive rate?

Good idea. Seems to be a magnet for the highest temps in the country :)
