hi guys i have a darwin girl and she doesnt like people what so ever.. i ''try'' to handle her every now and again (not to often so i dont stress her out to much) and she doesnt only strike she chews on me lol. also every time i even walk past and she is out of her cave she turns real quick to look at me and strikes sometimes and also stands up in a ''S'' shape, i put the hook in their to pick her up to transfer her for a feed and she snaps at the hook... she was handable wen i got her and for about 1 week after i got her then she just went very aggressive, any ideas on how to help her to settle down, i dont like her being so stressed over nothing... BTW i am only 6 months into the reptile keeping so im still learning so much. (i have had her for 5 months)
thanks guys

Be very very very confident, u might cop a few bites, but they wont hurt a bit. the only way is to just get her out for an hour like every couple of days. she should calm down soon. just handle her LOTS and she'll get used to it. :)\
hope this helps

Is there any chance that she could just be hungry? Maybe 'upping' her food size will help settle her, but just be aware that not ALL snakes will tolerate handling, she may never 'be happy' to have you 'cuddle' her. As said above though, just be confident when you try get her out, dont hesitate, & lift her from underneath, dont go in above her, this will only scare her more. Also, you mentioned she is striking at the glass when you walk past, is she in a 'high traffic' area? Maybe you could move her enclosure somewhere a little more quite, or cover it up a bit so she feels safer. Goodluck anyway, i hope she settles for you. :)

err over handling could be one of the reasons why its aggresive now .
i would leave it be for a few weeks .

she is in a very low traffic area and i dont handle her very often i have left her for over 1 month no handling to see if she would calm down and didnt work.. i wil try handling her for a hour or so like u said and see if that will work, the longest ive ever held her is about 10min she calms down after 5 min only striking here and their... if she cant be handled then she cant be handled i guess i dont mind just would be nice to have a hold here and their and not get tagged, cause atm it doesnt hurt but in a years time wen her little chompers have grown a bit lol it mite hurt a lil more.
