Hi all,

I currently live in Darwin and will be moving at the end of the year to Townsville with my Frilled-neck and was wondering what the best way is to transport them with the airlines?

Cheers

AAE would be the best, would you have to get a new licence? Or you might be able to take it with you and in NSw you need Import/Export permits for that dno about QLD tho???

this is just a guess but,

id say you can freight it and pick it up at the air port in townsville..

you may also need a permit to transfer the animals interstate..

im sure its something along those lines.. if you google it, you will probably get some answers.

I doubt you can travel with your reptile but maybe once your there someone can send the frilly via AAE its usually same day service.

(Australian Air Express)

Otherwise you can always do a road trip and drive?

Well, you pack their little suitcases, give them a GPS and tell them they have to go walkies.....

OK....I've got a sick sense of humour....I'm allowed to have one...I'm OLD... :)

LOL..

Happy that he will have to go AAE, but more interested in what sort of container I should be putting him in for the journey? Fish, Birds and Snakes are easy, I'm just not so sure about lizards.

Go the the supermarket and buy 2 plastic containers, ensure that one can fit amply inside the other and the smallest one can comforatably contain your frilly. Drill some holes in both containers, then get small container and place in some paper towel, insert frilly, close lid. Then shred paper, packing material inside large container and place in small container, seal the big container, screw or tape the lip down and thats all thats needed. I generally freight in those ''decor'' containers and havent had a problem.
