im new to herps as well but from what ive read
a enclosure about half the length of the animal
out this way at least click clack's only get so big b4 u have to build an enclosure (or buy one)
correct me if im wrong =)

thanks for the repley. I'm intrested in finding out more out of concern for a new snake (for us). we have an enclosure, but would it be better to have it in a click clack untill it settles and for how long? It will be a 10-11mths old carpet python.
thanks

depends on the temperament of your baby....... if relatively calm, then there's no reason not to put straight into the enclosure. Our MD went straight into her enclosure, and she wasted no time in exploring and finding the best spot to bask!
It's all a matter of personal ideas, and what the individual feels it's better to do. As for what size clik clak, couldn't tell you, not much help there I'm afraid. Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

i have one snake which has been in tub it'a whole life. it's about 20 months and one the same age which has been in a display enclosure as long... it's a very large tub.

Anywhere between 1-2 years, it basically varies from keeper to keeper. Some carpets can be kept in a click clack (Leaning more to a large tub) there whole life.

depends on the breed of the python like a antaresia they can stay in there for like 18 months, but yer it can vary on how often u feed em and many other reasons
