any one know what i can do to control/kill flies in my herp shed?
i've got some of them mortien flower stickers up on the windows but there not helping.

i relay do not want to spray anything around my critters, flies seem to be the worst at and just after feeding time. and there are lots of them like Amitivill horror amounts of flies.

so besides fly paper and the flower stickers what can i do to keep the flies away

Keep your old plastic coke bottles, cut the top third of the bottle off, take the cap off, turn upside down and place back inside the rest of the bottle (so it's like a funnel going into the bottom half). Then tap this together really well along the edge. Put something tasty for flies - dog food, fly bait etc - in the bottle... Flies go in to get tastiness, and can't get out again, because flies always try to escape at the highest point, not through the cap again.

I do this in my backyard. Works a treat. Sometimes.

Great idea

the fly bait traps they sell at bigw are really affective can get the medium size for about 10 bucks they sure smell a bit once they are getting full and dont allow them to dry out the flies go mad for the bait goodluck ps wouldnt actually have the bait in the room i think close by would do the trick within a few meters of where you wanted

Clean out your cages more often. It's not the snakes that are attracting the flies, it's their sh.it.

the cages are cleaned as soon as poop is seen, also the room was recently set up not enough time for it to acquire a fly attracting odor,

they do not hand around all the time, only when the snakes are being feed and for a day or 2 afterwords

to every one else thanks for the ideas, might try a few of them.
think the problem is coming from the fact that there a paddock full of cows next doors

ill let you all know how it goes any ways

Haha cows and flies go hand in hand they may always be a problem

stop them getting into the room in the first place, is the start and end of it once all cleaned up
