how to get algae off

my turtle keeps gettin algue growing on his shell and i have know idea how to get it to stop. hes had it befor but then it went away but its back now. i got one of those nutralizer things but it doesnt appear to help anthin
anyone got any ideas??

Algae on the carapace isn't an issue for the turtle so dont worry about it from a health point of view. Maybe your tank is a bit nutrient rich.

ohh ok well if it doesnt affect him its ok but i was hopein to possibly clear it up so his shell looks good

When he/she shed scutes the algae will drop of with them.
