hey Darlyn, thanks...didn't have an op just procedure like an angiogram but instead of going through an artery in my leg the doctor did what's called a venogram and went through a main vein in my leg up into my brain to see why i was having such high intracranial pressures. i was fully awake and only had the normal reactions but they were prepared for it.
Results were i have half a drainage system that works and no known cause as to why i had such high pressures.....haven't been on as much because i've found since the procedure looking at computer screens gives me massive headaches so i basically have a surf and if theres anything worth replying to i do
it wasn't that bad actually....until the doc got to my ear and then it felt like i had a mechanical worm scratching its way up into my brain....lol then the guide-wire got lost in my chest so i had to go through it all again lol and having 4 squirts of contrast straight into my brain was a ton of fun...BP dropped faster than a hot air balloon but apparently thats normal and after i had all the good looking nurses making me stand up and walk around and force cordial down my throat coz the contrast is no good for your kidneys. lucky they were young and good looking and i was bored!
