Actually it is Daavid at the Keyboard, Judy's alias at APS is "trader"... I go by "HerpTrader".... but we both have the same image

Actually the tiles act as a heat buffer. They conduct the heat well and hold it so the temperature remains pretty stable despite the on/off nature of the thermostat controlling it. I have tiled all my enclosures using the same technique.
