i have a small filter for my frog tank and i was wondering if i can keep it underneath the small rocks at one end of the encloser. because thats what the people had a the pet shop. also the problem was the rocks arnt to small to fit in the whole in the filter but could it damage it. if that makes scense.
thanks

as long as the water inlet is completely underwater it shouldnt do any damage, if the outlet is above the water level it wont matter the water will just be shot out like a waterfall

try to work it so that the water in the main part of the tank can still flow through and it shouldn't be a problem.
i'd try to have the hose that puts water back in on the other side (hide it under rocks)
just to make sure the filtered water doesnt get sucked up again before dirty water
