I need some advice please

i have a 9 month old childrens python and ive noticed that it has some red sores on its belly its only in small areas they have scabbed up a bit and dont look infected. The childrens is also bathing in its water bowl so i know somthing must be up. I have many other snakes but ive never come across this before. If any one has come across this before or knows what it is or how it might have gotten it if they could give us a shout out that would be great im aware that i should take it to the vet and i will be i just thought id ask around.

I'm stumped but check out it's enclosure to see if there's anything that it could have scraped itself on maybe?...if there is take it out before it does further damage... Good luck at the vets and let us know how it goes
