Thank you for wishing me well. I passed competency test on wednesday. Today I am going only for knowledge test and here i go.
I have Yamaha Teneri 660. That should get me to places.
I am looking like supergrandpa on this pictures. Mrs Slatey refused to participate and warned me that I am driving along. That is support I am getting.
Possum this bike.
And don't have wories about speed. On highway I go 35 km/h.
and I have death in my eyes.

I will start grandpa's bike club now.
I must say that people respect my L warning and do not use horn.

When you take slates age into account Hixy I reckon he'd only be worth 2 points max :)

When I went for my motorbike L's in Victoria back in the late '70s, we were restricted to a maximum 260cc capacity motorbike. I thinks it's still the case for L and P platers.

Lol you live in dark ages dogmick Now it is 660 cc max or no more than 1000 kw.

This give me more oportunity to go faster then 30km/h.

By the way, they offered to me that becaose of my age, I don't have to drive 3 months on L plates. RTA shows respect to oldies.

What a crock!!! Being a motorcyclist and an oldie (as you put it) means you are a much greater menace on the roads. At least in a car you have a nudge bar on the bike....??? Bloody RTA they don't know what they are doing

In Victoria you are restricted to a 250cc motorcycle for a learner and up 2 600cc i believe for a P plater

LOL Possum. In all seriousness. I had my first motobike licence in europe when I was age 16. And I have few hundreds of thousands miles behind me. I just newer need licence here in Australia. I was able to do with out it for my dirt biking, and now becaose we are planing trip to Top of Queensland with my mates, I am getting official my boy. I hope that I will survive all crazy teenagers on road.
