I'm guessing by 'honest' you mean that no one would be capable of doing wrong because they would be too honourable and trustworthy, rather than the inability to tell a lie. I simply cannot even begin to fathom such a world.

One thing I do know is that, either way, as a writer, my spectrum of inspiration would narrow down significantly. Things would be a bit dull.

If we were all totally honest: There would be fewer poor people for two reasons, dodgy business deals wouldnt exist so there would be no sweat shops and if there wernt enought jobs to go around the poor couldn't steal to eat.

Honesty cannot survive without the shadow of dishonesty, otherwise we would be living in a full "communist society" not the communist society that is being flogged to death in the movies and by sensationalist media but true Marxist communism where noone owns anything everything is self policed and there is no need for lying or dishonesty. i personally don't think it would work coz even in the animal world there are liars ie harmless snakes that take on the appearance of more dangerous snakes and the list goes on.....it's a good thought but totally impractical............................................................Ron
