About a week ago I posted a question (which seems to have disappeared from the forums now, oh well) about my coastal- he had been very quiet for a couple of weeks, but he was happy to feed, yet I was still a little worried about how quiet he had been. So after I posted that I got him out to check on him and realised that he was coming up for a shed, which to me explained why he hadn't been out and about.
He's usually a very active snake, likes to explore and likes being handled, but now I'm worried again. It's been a few days since his eyes cleared up after going milky, but he's showing no other signs of shedding, and he hasn't been out of his hide in over a fortnight now (excluding when I took him out last week. Incidentally he was very warm and feisty when I handled him that time). It's also been a fortnight since his last feed and he hasn't yet defecated. So I am worried, because it usually only takes 4 or 5 days after a feed for him to poo, and yeah....
Anybody have any ideas as to what's going on?? His water is clear of mites, the humidity in the tank is fine, and his warm spot is at about 32 degrees and the cool end at 15 or so.
In case it helps, he is about 3 years old and 1.6m long. Never had any problems with him before, and yeah, this the first time in the 2.5 years I've had him that he has ever been this inacitve.
Worried! Argh! Please help! :(

It can take up to 3 weeks for a snake to go through the shedding process and during this time most pythons will not feed or go to the toilet.Just make sure he has a big water bowl half full of water so he has the humidity he needs to keep the skin soft.Snakes can spend lots of time moving about and lots of time doing nothing at all.I would warm up his coll end to about 25c.I don't think you need to be worried.

my bredlis eyes are normally clear for about a week after the milky stage before he sheds,..

He is probably still active, just when it's dark and you are asleep. He will probably hold onto his toilet till he sheds and leave you a nice present a long with the shed XD.
