Hi people i'm getting woma soon but my parents don't allow it in the house so i was wondering if i can put it in the garage cars will come in and out about 4 times a day. will the snakes be able to live down there will it die of fright.... Tanks

It'll be fine as long as the cars don't hit the enclosure. Most people keep their animals in far busier places than that.

Depends on what the temperatures are like in the garage, some people get really hot.

The question was "will it die of fright?" not "will it die of overheating?"

They should be right from the scare factor of the cars coming and going. But just keep in mind the fumes from a vehicle, if people are warming up their vehicles in the garage ensure there is good ventilation. I ounce ACCIDENTLY killed 6 budgies with the fumes from my car by warming it up one morning with only having the pedestrian door open and the roller doors down. OOPS.

Cheers Brad

hey guys thanks for info none of our cars need to warm up in the garage they can leave straight away its very cool in the garage so should be able to keep down there thanks for info guys!

lol yeldarb bet u had a hard time explaining that 1  however it is certainly something most people wouldnt think of until its to late includeing myself altho i dont use my garage for cars :p

repty i think everybody has pretty much covered it all for you aslong as it dongt get to hot, cars arnt warming up in there for prolonged periods it should be a great place.

Although it wouldn't do the snake any good, reptiles are a lot more tolerant of polluting gases than birds. That's why they used to send canaries down into the mines - if the birds died, the atmosphere was dangerous. Even overheating a Teflon coated pan in the kitchen can kill birds living in the house!
