Scan the business card and I am sure that someone on here will contact the authorities for you.

It doesnt sound to good from what you are saying but i find it amusing that you see a problem with a small girl feeling the bones in a fairly large snake while you say you are tightly hugging a blue tounge, seems a bit hypocritical to me.

when he said dont worry well SORT IT OUT did you eveer think that maybe he wuld explain it to her and help her SORT IT OUT ?

Yes I did. Infact that was the first thing that I thought and indeed hoped that that would be the case.
Which is my dilemma.....he MAY (although IMO the possibility is small after talking to him) be legit in all his deals and willing to teach people things, so telling the authorities about him would be a waste of time and a possible blow to his 'exhibiting reputation'.

However...It was clear by how he spoke to this lady, and how I overheard her excited jabber 10mins later when she was behind me in the queue at the post office that she was aware of the loophole.

hahaha oh come on..the difference between a little girl squeezing a SMALL (as in....it was about 4cm wide..oh no wait.. I've just gotten my ruler out....it was much less than that. 1.5cm. A little hatchling) snake and me trying to be slightly amusing on the internet are different things.
Besides its not so much the act, but what that little girl is learning....that snakes can be approached and patted and squeezed.... I sure hope shes not fast enough to get to a wild snake... :S

Why didnt you confront the person at the time??

Because I didnt think I had a chance of talking to someone when there was a barricade of people hovering around the tables and I figured that if he didnt think I was suspicious of him, he would be more likely to offer to sell me something... (be that illegally or non).

I would have stayed quite too Tatelina, keep him thinking he is getting away with it, and tell the authoritys imediatly, if he's not doing anything wrong then nothing will happen to him, but if he is, he will hopfully be caught out. Dont think twice about doing the right thing, good luck.

dynea.

Isn't the public display of reptiles in NSW illegal? Unless you have a permit of course (or so I assume).

Where abouts was this anyway?

Im pretty sure he had an exhibitors license..so that's all fine.
It was near Burwood in the inner west. Suprise really...to see reptiles like that on display in this area.
