Recently this week my bearded dragon layed 20 eggs, I've got them in an incubator with vermiculite and water. I mixed 50grams vermiculite to 50grams water. My concern is that the humidity is way too high it's currently at 99 I have made a few phone calls to the vets and pet shops. Some say it's fine and to air it put once a week others say it is too high. I've had 3 eggs that have gotten dimples in them

What can I do and will this affect the eggs allot?

from what ive read 50/50 is what alot of people use for beardies, i use a drier mix for my geckos (60/40), but ive never bred beardies,..

if you feel its too wet and want to make the mix a bit drier, add some dry vermicuite to the tub. (either move the eggs and put a dry layer between the wet stuff and the eggs, or just sprinkle it around the edges and it will absorb the excess water)

Thank you I will try and get more vermiculite ASAP and do that. :)

In the meantime just put a paper towel over the top of them and that should absorb excess moisture. Lay the paper towel gently over the top of them and check it in one hour.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Sandee :)

The humidity for my bearded dragon eggs are usually 80+
99 should be fine :)
but you could lower it a bit if it makes you sleep better at night

I use perlite, do a 50/50 mix by weight, then a add a 1 - 2cm layer of dry perlite on top to sit the egg on. Perlite doesn't wick water like vermiculite so the egg have the right humidity without being in direct contact with the moisture
