Re - What is this water dragon behaviour.

I was just wondering if you could please explain why, when you update a post in a thread, the thread doesn't reappear on the forum?

George.:?

There is a 72 hour bump restriction in effect, which basically means you can't bump threads (or make sequential posts) within a 72 hour period.

I just put a reply up on the above mentioned thread. It went on as an update and it just seemed odd that didn't the thread didn't reappear on the forum.

That's fine but I didn't bump the thread as such I put up a new reply. Is that what you refer to as bumping a thread?

Originally it was to stop people bumping For Sale threads too often but they implemented it on some of the other forums to stop people spamming them. If you post directly after one of your posts within 72 hours, it will just update rather than creating a new post and bumping the thread.
