G'day all

I've never had any luck with my central bearded dragon eggs, always infertile.
I've had eggs in my incubator for about 55 days but ive just discovered the light had blown (been this way for maybe a week or less) the eggs have deformed and are developing what looks like mould.
I thought this was the end so i decided to open one of the eggs just to see if my lizards eggs were still infertile. I did and a lizard WAS in their. I was going to destroy it just incase it was still alive to put it out of its missery, but right before delivering a fatal blow and it began to move around
I've put it back in the incubator. So its there without its shell, but is still inside some sort of clear outer casing.

Its been about an hour and ive checked up on it's now out of this outer casing, as if its trying to hatch???
I did see some body movement, but its not moving anymore...

What should i do? is their anything i can do or just leave it?

As you can probally see this is my first time dealing with a fertile egg, so i understand ive made terrible mistakes, i shouldnt have cut open the egg i feel so terrible.

Maybe just leave it and see how it goes. It may very well survive if you let it do its own thing.
Just keep and eye on it and hopefully it will survive.

thanks for the help guys. Well ive left it over night, and i re-checked it this morning, the guys still half outside his (embrio?) and the other half is still inside.
Should i re-moisten the enviroment just incase his getting dehydrated??

thankyou all in advance

I think whatever don't give up hope on these little guys until you know for certain they're no good. I had my first clutch ever in the incubator for ages before hatching, some looked ok, some looked patchy, some were little ovals and some were big circles. I didn't think it was going to happen, but to my surprise day 66 they all hatched.

Beardie hatchies

I have seen them take up to around 70 days to hatch just leave them and see how they go.They can take a long time just to get out of their shell .(up to a day or two)

Why dont you just use a heat cord for your incubator and have a seperate thermometer so you can see the temps and check daily? You must not really care about your eggs if you havnt checked them for a week and just noticed the bulb has blown any ways best of luck
