If only all this were possible.
Oh well, we can keep on dreaming can't we. Those tiger retics are nice looking animals that's for sure.

The cool part is that there are now Tiger hets. The first Super Tiger Albinos were produced this year, and those are impressive animals.

If an full sized Olive stared constricting your neck/head would the average man be able to pull the snake off??

This happened to me once, I was alone and was very close to not getting the thing off (was quite blue in the face and gasping for breath, quite scarey). This was a few years ago, I was a little smaller then and a lot less experienced, I'd had the snake around my neck, which these days I won't generally do with a 10ft + snake without another experienced handler by my side unless I'm familiar with the animal. The olive was wild caught (about 3 weeks earlier) and in someone's collection. I lost track of the snake's owner, he skipped the state, after stealing some of my animals and enclosures and still owes me money!

My girl diamond python was 9 ft at the time somebody steel her from me. She was beautiful and gentle. She loved watching tv with me and newer squeezed me bit but when she started hissle, I new that she have enough of handling.

If you are CONFIDENT to handle a snake on your own , handle it, If you are not,..... Don't! The snake WILL know.
We are in this hobby because we love the animals we care for, If we didn't we wouldn't have them.
LOVE your animal and it WILL love you back.

thanks for your replies guy's any info is always good info.
We have a 6 foot diamond as well and she is so placid that my 5 year old son has handled her(under our supervision of course) She only squeezes when you get her out of her inclosure. My 7 foot coastal is only handle when the both of us are there ,just to be on the safe side he is placid and slow moving exept when it's time to go back in the inclosure. You never now what can happen !!!!!!
And yes we love all our animals......

If only all this were possible. A pair of Tiger Retics would work out really well for you. Breed them together and you'll have Super Tigers. Gotta love co-dominant genetics.

Huggy, i think its time we hired a yacht...LOL

Well, my opinion is : they are wild animals with pretty small brains, no matter how tame they appear. The most placid snake could have a bad day.

My olive is the nicest natured snake you could imagine...... but if it suddenly decided to strike, it could do a bit of damage. That's what I tell my partner and my son when they give it a kiss! What if you had just eaten something that the snake interpreted as food scent??!! I'd hate to think about the damage it could do if it latched onto a lip or an eyelid!!!

Treat them with respect at all times, is my motto!

Rat tartare tonite Dave?

 ROFL! Yeah, well, my partner cooks up some pretty exotic dishes sometimes!

Good point. My albino Burm and my big normal male Burm are my nicest snakes, but at 10ft., I don't fool myself about what they could do if they bit me. A bite from a 7.5ft Retic awarded me with 7 stitches and a great and rare view of my knuckle bone, muscle tissue and tendons. That's about as big a snake as I care to be bitten by. I'm very aware of the scents that are on my body before I handle or work with them. Mistakes with big snakes are very costly.

I was cleaning out Mustangs enclosure the other day and had him over my shoulder as I did so. All of a sudden he swung his head around and latched onto his tree. He decided it was time to go home and if I hadn't been lucky enough to be able to slip him over my head my face would still be held against his trees trunk :) Sorta shoots the hell outa my earlier comment on confidence eh? :)
