Hi everyone, im just after anyones input as to whether my female coastal is gravid? I had the male in and out of her enclosure untill he lost interest,i didnt think anything had come of the pairing once he lost interest so their temps were bumped up. The male took a feed straight a way when offered, she didnt. She sloughed on the 17/10 and i offered food again but she wasnt interested. A few days later i noticed the lower half of her was noticably swollen and the scales spread appart.she has also been constantle pacing around the enclosure. Alot of her behavior and the time frame of things happening seem to be consistant with her being gravid, but im yet to see her sit belly up? My enclosures are taller than average with a perch fairly close to the heat if this may be a reason why? ive attatched some photos of her although the swelling doesnt show well in the photos.
Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks andrew

Id say theres a very good chance shes gravid only time will tell.
Did you obsevere actual mating?
when was her last feed?

She's gravid.
She will lay in 7 to 10 days.
Get a laybox and incubator ready.

Thanks bez84 and mungus for posting, a few days after i first posted it became blatently to me that she must be gravid. so im all set up and ready to go. Tanks for the replies though, much appreciated!

No worries best of luck to you, is sometimes hard to tell as some snakes balloon up and others dont.
I have a diamond female that im unsure of aswell as male showed no interest and i never observed matings but shes still fairly big and wont eat and just sits ontop of her hide box 24/7 in the heat in a tight coil and if she seems me staring she burys her head and tightens her coils lol..i guess only time will tell.
My female shed 23/10.
So now we play the waiting game lol.

not the best with pythons but id say get the lay box ready best to be ready just in case
