Its sad for you now mate, I know what you are going thru. I have done all the dumb things too.... went thrunthe motorbike stage,,,, the fast 4's.... the rotary stage and V8's...... but sooner or later you grow out of it. Now I am just happy to get where I am going and just drive a cheap bomb :lol:

Everyone is going to suffer soon when petrol gets up to the $3-$4 a litre mark.... the people with hot cars and 4x4's will be trying to give them away to buy a scooter..... you feel bad now for losing your t-rex, but soon you will be glad you did. In order to stop humans wasting the earths limited supply of crude oil, petrol will be so expensive to buy, people wont be able to buy it and economy will be everything.

Great you are doing this now while the rex is still worth something but sad for you too

yeah i am stoaked that they are still worth the $$$ reckon they will drastically drop in another 12 months so was the right time I like rotaries 13BTT engine in a RX-7 is my fave

yeah the scooter is cause I am only 4k from work and easier then a bike-can ride in more weather quicker....plus extremely cheap lol

Debt free is the way to go. Always sad to see somthing you have workd for and loved to drive away. I love the older clasic v8s like monaros, toranas, mustangs, and old pick-up truks, even rat rods. Iv had fast cars on the road, i had a hq tonner with a 383 stroker that i bult over a very long time, she was fast in a line, 10.96 was my best down 1/4 mile. Great having hundreds and hundreds of HP but speed limets on our roads wont let u use it all. Now days i just work on my 4x4 so i can go anywere slow as all hell being a 2.8ltr non-turbo deisel tho but i havnt got any speeding fines lol

the rx7s arnt getting any younger either - the twin turbo`s on them dont like much more then standard boost . my brother has a s6 rx7 thats been moded a lot lol. i was into the rotarys a few years ago . but these days cops are on the lookout for rotors cause its hard to keep`em quite and have decent power.

I love the RX-7's. If I go one of them I am going to (cause they are cheap to mod) spend the 5G upgrading turbo's injectors, seals, FMIC etc etc when i first buy it but that will be a good 5 years down the track...the longer I wait ther cheaper they get....plus rotories need to be rebuilt ever 100k so if I wait and bide my time I might get one super cheap that needs a rebuild and then can chuck the forged parts in straight away

God it feels weird...to actually see no debt next to my name and see my bank in the + its like W..T...F lol Weird feeling! Am getting a new snake tank next month

its a myth that rotaries need a rebuild if they are over 100k old . i had a s4 standard import 13bt engine in my s3 rx7 running a t66 turbo and 21 psi all day every day the engine had never been rebuilt or touched in anyway .
btw if u do go the rebuild option - it will cost u over 5g in a rebuild [ with half decent parts used] or 8k for decent parts used ......... and im talking about a decent engine builder like extreme rotaries [ not some backyarder who builds dud engine]
then u need a aftermarket ecu - like a apexi powerfc $1000 or so ... u want a cheap moder by a bf ford [xr6 t ] .. spend ya 5k on one other them will give ya 330+rwkw of fun .

Yeah would prefer the money in something a little more unique...so def the Rx-7 over the ford. Plus on a track you would probably find that your 250kw Rx-7 might actually beat that 330kw 2ton ford
Thats good to know about the rotories. Its like anything, pay the $$$ for quality and she will last longer
Plus I just love the sound of a 8k rev limit worked Rx-7. Sexy! Almost as good as a worked 8k redline boxer engine

the diffrence is u dont need to work a rotary to get it rev to 8k , allday every day ....
id rather keep my 2 tone ford - atleast its not cop bait unlike 99.9% rotarys are ....[ thats there down fall these days]

yeah I realise that, if your lucky you get one that factory redlines at 9K. Just a worked rotory redlining to 9k sounds sweet! Yeah with my next project I actually plan on getting a modification plate in the vehicle after the works done and that way if a copper ever pulls me up and is an ***, I can be one back as there will be nothing he can get me for
