Recently, ive noticed that my Thick Tailed Gecko, has and under/overbite, where his lower jaw juts out further than his upper jaw.

I if look back on photos, he has always kinda had it. But I think its gotten worse recently, It only protrudes maybe a mm, or 2, but is this a big problem, it doesnt seem to have effected his eating or drinking at the moment, but will it become a problem? (obviously it will if it just out too far... ) but has anyone encountered this in their geckos?

Ill try and get some photos up, but they may come out mega huge, or mega tiny, ive never done it before lol.

here's to hoping that either of these two work, so if i end up uploading the same pic twice >__<

anything?!

wow, never seen anything like that on my gex. could you put it on some glass or in a clear container and take a pic from underneath? that might be a better angle for the experts on here, tho it looks almost 'torn' at the side, right under the eye.

its not torn, i think thats just cause i had sprayed him lol.

his jaw its self is fine, it opens and shuts fine, it just.. pokes out, i have a photo from above, but i can try and get one from below.

ive looked at it closely, and it seems like the lower jaw has just grown faster.

ive seen dragons with this abnormality and they seem to be perfectly fine. eating and drinking fine if thats anything to go by.

Thanks Costa. He seems to cope with it fine, but if its going to be detrimental to his health in future, i should get it looked at now, before it becomes an issue.
