My 6 month old jungle is off her food.
It's been 8 weeks since her last feed. She normally eats thawed, heated pinkies. I've tried scenting with quail. Tried feeding quail. Scenting with garden skinks and feeding skinks and tried a live pinkie tonight and still nothing. She bit it a few times but was uninterested. Now I am left with not knowing what to do.

Maybe try a fuzzy ? A food item with fur?

Sorry becca, the live mouse I tried tonight was a fuzzy. She was more scared of it than anything. Now
I have a pet mouse to look after lol.

I had the same prob with one of my little buggers. I pierced the defrosted fuzzies stomach so the smell was much stronger and bam.

Double check your temps. Whats your set up like? By that I mean click-clack or larger enclosure? What type of heating? Where are you measuring the temp? The cooler weather may have turned it off feeding even though you have a basking spot. Oh and I`m not sure trying a live fuzzy when it was eating defrosted pinkies was a great idea, would have checked husbandry and tried defrosted fuzzies first.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in my original post. I was originally feeding her defrosted pinkies, two to be exact every 8 days. when she went off her food I tried feeding her defrosted pinkies and fuzzies as well. She wasn't interested in either. She is currently housed in a 35 x 35 x 30 reptile enclosure. I have the thermostat set to 30 at the hot end and 25 at the cool end. She isn't very active either. Always in her hide.

Is the enclosure glass or timber? I would think your temps are too low to stimulate a feeding response.

I always had floor heat for my jungle when he was a bub, maybe too cold to eat?

I would try turning up the heat too, I turn mine up from 32 to 34 two days before I feed him :)

Agree with the last few posts, even though your thermo is set at 30, doesn't mean that's the temp your getting. Probe placement can have a big effect on this. Try to place it close to where your snake would bask and cross check with a thermometer.

I have a similar tank for my lil jungle, I have the infrared globe and hav temp set at 27 cool 34 hot and he is great feeder.

Pretty much what everyone else has already said. Set your thermo to 34, leave her for a few days and make sure that temp is being mantained at that where she basks. She should feed the next time around for you.
It's strange that it's not a good feeder though. Most Jungles are well known for being voracious feeders.
I'd always rather use a heat mat or cord over a light/che. But in some cases you do need both to get the right temps. Particularly in larger enclosures.
For the enclosure she is currently in I'd use a 7watt (more if you like, but that should maintain a high enough temp [provided the substrate is not too thick]) heat mat under 1/3-1/2 of it.
Has worked fine for all my Pythons until they had to be moved into bigger enclosures.

i'm curious now as to what you do to get your snake to end up eating, everyone is convinced it's temps which seems fair considering winter has hit the enclosures ambient temp might be lower if the snake had been eating fine and you hadn't changed any of the conditions at all. i have a question though since you've tried quails, mice and lizards, have you tried rat pinkies yet? just thought i might ask since my little snakes gave a much better feeding response to rats in comparison to the pinky mice i originally fed them

I checked on her this afternoon when I got home from work. And her eyes are all milky, she's in pre shed! I guess that explains a lot! Have boosted her enclosure temps as well! Hopefully when she is done shedding she will have a big appetite! I'll keep you all updated though just incase! Thank you so much for all of your input and info. It has helped a very stressed owner a lot!
