Hi all I bought my 2nd snake yesturday she is just over 3 months old. I have her in a click clack with 2 fowls to climb on a fake rock hide and a water bowl.

My question is do jungles use hides much because she still hasn't gone in she spends most time on the dowls. And a bit of time on the floor just on the paper? Is this normal

the temperature will influenence the postion of the snake aswell as the individual. mine likes to hide in its vase and hide rock but if yours likes the security of a perch you gotta be happy about that

Yeh it's great but just confused my woma spends all his time in his hide. My temp in about 32 on the floor of the enclosure

Different animals have different personalities, just enjoy the fact you have found one that likes to stay out all the time (so you get to look at them a lot) :)

i agree with zoltag, one of my jungles like her hidey..one never uses it. so yer its up to the snake 8),but imuo always give them one anyways so if they ever do need it at least theres one there.

Mate i have a few jungels some will stay out a lot and the others hide i think it depends a lot on your set up and the snake.

I think my MD has been in her hide about 3 or 4 times in the 6 weeks i have had her. I put in a long narrow cardboard box, standing up to give her something to climb on while i organised something more permanent and she has taken to crawling in there but it is quite open, so not really hiding. Now she has a cave, a climbing branch and the box and she chooses the box 9 times out of 10. All different.

Im sure when i get around to getting number 2 its gonna be a mean and nasty bitey and unfriendly thing!!

Yeh she is currently sleeping on the floor directly next to her hide. I just thought that ad I only got her yesturday she would be hiding for at least a couple of days

Jungles are snakes that like to hang off perches so dont be supprised that it spends alot of time hanging about

Cool that is what I was hoping mr woma sleeps all day so it's nice to have the jungle out on display. Cannot wait for her to get big enough to move into her enclosure. But that I's a while off yet

Yeh I have been told they spend alot of time hanging around but I thought that because she has just moved into a new home she would be nervous and hide alot. I'm still going to give her all week to settle in befor I handle her on Saturday

It looks as if it would be a fairly snug fit my woma used it till he was about 50cms then he was to big for it

I also have some toilet rolls in there which my woma used to love hiding in. Not the same rolls as the woma had obviously.
