For climbing Pythons I'd have an enclosure that is 2/3 - 3/4 (H) of the snakes total length and 1/2 - 2/3 (L & W). For ground dwellers I'd have an enclosure 2/3 - 3/4 (L & W) of the snakes total length and 1/2 - 2/3 (H). Just make sure it has plenty of hides so that it feels secure.
