i may be getting a pair of thick tail geckos this weekend and i have a few questions
1. i live in the yarra vally victoria so would i need to use heating
2.whats the best things to feed them
3.they are 7cm and 8cm is this a good size how much bigger will they get
4.what size can they breed
sorry bout all the questions never had these geckos b4

get a heat mat with a theromostat that is your safest option
thwe best thing to feed them is either crickets or woodies
i dont think they will get much older
im not to sure bout breeding but id say they cculd breed now
how old are they???

Artificial heating for these guys where you are would be a must. As mentioned heat mat/cord would be a better option than high wattage globes. Not sure of breeding ages/sizes for this species, sorry.

will breed at about 1 year old depends on size if they are fully grown they will but if they are smaller then u will have to wait till they get adult age

In Victoria you would need heating but make sure it doesnt get over 30 degrees. Generally they breed about 18 months old and i feed mine on crickets, dust every 2nd or 3rd feed. The guy i bought them off had a monster and he was about 17 cms long
