Im sure there has been many posts about keeping womas together, but i cant find one. so im just wondering if anyone keeps woma pairs together, or if they will eat eachother?
does anyone do it?

Cheers :D

well aspidies (woma, bhp) they feed on other reptiles including snake in the wild. that's all i can tell you. i dont have a woma yet.

Personally, we don't/wouldn't keep any snakes together, and certainly not Womas.

With there appetite and food response, any Aspidities i wouldnt keep 2gether all year round.I would ONLY put them together for breeding purposes..

fair enough, thats what i thought. cheers for the help guys
hopefully ill be gettin a pair very soon.

I would agree Woma + Woma = no go, they are not good with each other or other snakes kinda like a pit bull.

Keeping womas of equal size together that have been captive bred & fed on rodents, chikens or rabbits should not be a problem.
Males will combat as the breeding season advances so it is not adviseable to house males together but oposite sex pairs all year round has never given me any issues in well over a decade.:)

+1...:)

i only ever introduce mine together at breeding time after they have been well cooled and they are thinking of sex not food.
Could possible be kept together as mentions but is it really worth the risk even if it's slight???

is it just womas and bhps that shouldnt be housed together? or do other pythons enjoy eating eachother?

One of the biggest reptile only shops here in SA has had a pair of them living together for ages and a pair of BHPs. In fact they pretty much keep a pair of most species of Morelia together aswell. However I wouldn't do so with my personal animals.

hmm thats odd. lots of people do it but i wouldnt risk it. i was lined up to get a woma nice and cheap, but looks like they re all sold already, so im thinking of just getting a girlfriend for my little coastal

mate sucks that yhu didnt get them woma. ive had 2 kinds(W.A & QLD) bhps gone. one was sold. and the other apparently got out from the same person funnily enough.

I know of places in SA that have several locales of woma that have hatched and are hatcing - waiting for sheds and good feeding before they advertise etc.

also know of places here in SA that have yearling and adult womas. PM me if u want me to direct you.
