knob tail

ok so i have a knobtailed gecko and on the end of its tail it doesnt have the little knobby thing... well it does but it seems to be curled up... is this normal?

i know this is a really late reply,
and i hate to dissapoint you but i dont really know,
both my pair have the little knob you are talking about,
hope i helped (i havent got a clue why this would happen though)
