kreft advise needed!!!!

I've had my Kreft's for a couple of weeks now and not once have I seen them basking , I have checked sooo many sites and I'm sure that I have temps and setup right,they seemed to have settled in ok,not to shy when you enter the room now ...should I take them out for some natural light or something so they have a bit of time out of the water or will this hurt them, or is there a way to encourage them to bask...also how long should they bask for?

By all means natural sunlight is the best source of Vit D whick turtles need, no being out of the water for a while will not hurt them
