I have a female that has produced 14 pups in her first litter. The plan is to cross the females from this and the next litter with the males of a litter by the same female and a new male, then crossing the best male back with the original female. If i really wanted to pass the genes on i'd mate the female with her male offspring for a few generations but that i bit to redneck for me. Will this plan produce what i want? this whole linebreeding inbreeding thing is confusing

Depends on what you want to acheive from line breeing, colours, clutch sizes ,temprement ,size, albino;s ?

The easiest thing to do is just get some "super mice" they have already been line bred and have large litters. Inbreeding shouldnt cause problems with a good line of mice, once they have been line bred long enough most recessive problems should be gone.
