Long Days Long nights!!!

OH MAN ,I think i'm llosing it,it's my first year breeding and i have a frw gravid animals,one thsat going by my dates should have layed a few days ago at least but maybe i got he date wrong.I keep staying up checking for eggs and seeing if she's going to lay in er beautiful nest box or on the newspaeper...i'm losing sleep,having a few brews tonight to ease the stress!!!

Anyone else got that same feeling?

Indeed Andy, Ive got a Milii I suspect is gravid, but being a newb to gex, im not certain. Ive seen her diggin, Ive seen her in the nesting box but no cigars yet.

What do you think? not the best pics but...

as long as there is no waterbowl in the cage all
will be fine.

Just go to sleep and you will wake up to eggs.

JunglePython,i was told to make sure to remove any water bowls that could be laid in especially for jungles and all havebeen replaced by small water bowls...are you saying to have no water in there at all around the days eggs are expected?

I did get some sleep no eggs yet looks like i might have jungles at the same time as bhp's

She looks gravid to me instar any gravid geck i've see the 2 eggs are very visible i wish i had an adult male levis for my 2 lonely girls i'm sure i'd have eggs now too.

Hey Browns

I take out the waterbowl and just give it back to them every few days for a drink. I might leave it in the tank during the day then take it out
before I go to bed.

Thanks for that JunglePython i'll be doing exactly that as a couple were already laying in their bowls and it's getting very hot and only half way till eggs after prelay.What if you provide a bowl they can't lay in?

I'm expecting bhp eggs anytime and i'm hoping to catch her in action and hopefully be able to remove the egss one by one...i'm watching her constantly and it's been 30-32 days now but i have one jungle that if it gets any fatter i thinks it'll explode and i reckon will lay early around the same time as the bhp or earlier and the eggs certainly look closer to the vent in th jungle...Time for another beer to keep me sort of sane :wink:

Thanks zen,you're dead right my friend i want to remember every little part of it...i'm actually more excited about the jungles hatching just to see the variation although i wouldn't care if they were eggs of any species like you said still an exciting time...still no eggs as yet, and i'm sure there'll be a few pics when it happens though :wink:

Who knows i might have a pair of het albino bhp's or banarama jungles

Not the same girl Zulu, this is a larger girl. The other girl hasnt dropped another/anymore yet, do they
clutch more than once a season like beardys? There still together.
This girl in the pics, I hope she is, shes a lovely color, be nice to see a bub.
This egg i have in the incubator is the first gex egg for me. I discovered it while cleaning and its covered in sand, so no telling if its good or not. so far it looks firm n full.
Do gex eggs expand much during incubation like beadys?
