male or female

can anyone tell me if this little fellow (short necked murray turtle) is a male or female? please

Dont males have big tails? Because that looks pretty small to me.

Im not really sure myself thats why i thought id ask here.. I have two one is bigger and the tail is twice the size I couldnt get a clear picture becuase im sure the bigger turtle has ADD and wont keep still long enough for me to take a cleaer picture hehe..
Ill try again soo people have a bit of a comparison ..

males also have a smaller shell while a female has a quite larger shell for eggs

hey, i read somewhere that after 2 years they become sexually active and thats when you can tell....i remember reading it was the tail, but girls have a belly and boys have a dip......
us girls always get the belly problems! grrr lol
