mmm Lets see, You just brought this pair the other day and now they have been
thrown together and you are asking questions on breeding husbandry!!!

If you dont have an idea on the process "WHY" are you attempting breeding these animals? This is one of the reasons for my RANT yesterday!

You should think more about the welfare of these animals then a couple of bucks u might make off the offspring. What are u going to do about incubation if she does lay?

Whats wrong with a 14 boy wanting to make a million bucks....just kidding...What happened with quarantine if you just got them, are they from the same person...Theres no set time....they can mate for weeks and the female still might not be gravid...She can fall gravid with just a couple of matings...I generally leave the female with the male until she ovulates,or if you no for certain...One thing you need to concertrate on is quarantine first before worrying about breeding...

Hi,

people need to not jump to conclusions and assume this person is practicing bad husbandry. he asked a question.... thats what this site is for. he may have bought these animals as a pair that have been housed together. you dont know the situation so no need for comment. everyone is all to happy to jump on their high horse when it suits them to make themselves feel like they are important or knowledgable heres an idea keep things to yourselves or write your post in a way so that it isnt read as being aggressive and belittleing.

they came from the same person they where housed together at there place so i didnt see a problem doing it here. im not forcing them to breed am i?? they are both a good size so if they wanna do it im not gonna stop them. blurb take a look here. it shows my incubator build http://www.aussiepythons.com/forum/general-herps-42/my-incubator-build-112057 i wouldnt hae kept them together if i didnt have a incubator lined up! they are away from all my other reps. thanks for the people who are helping

If you go back a couple of months you will find there was a "pair"of darwins brought and then there was a barrage of questions on how to mate and breed them, now that backfired as the pair was 2 males. now here we go again
Raced out and brought another "pair" and we are in a hurry to knock some hatchies out of them.
There seems to be a common theme here, $$$$$$$ driven:rolleyes:

haha well said beardy boy, some people need to get off the bandwagon i think.

This kid obviously knows what he is on about and is giving it a shot, just like all you experienced breeders did in your very first season.
