My 85cm female bredli was hungry, so I thawed some stuff

I remember being told once to thaw by preheating the oven really hot then turning it off, wrapping the rat in foil and leaving in there. not something id try myself, good old icecream container in the laundry with hot water is quicker and more effective imo, i just give a quick pat dry with an old towel reserved for the purpous.
just thought of exploded mouse guts in the microwave is disgusting enuff,[insert barf smiley] u definatly earned a kick up the bum jimmy lol
dont think i could ever eat food from it again. :lol:

lol u guys are lucky getting a wack over the back of the head for using mums good pots to defrost mice see what happens to yay when the mouse ur defrosting explodes in the microwave then u can complain im still saw and it was like 3 months ago

I tried thawing a rat in a microwave once (and most certainly only once!). It literally exploded and the entire inside of the microwave was smeared with hot guts. It smelled really nice (almost like hot buttery cookies) until I realised what it was. Luckily no one was home and I cleaned it up before anyone was home, and had a few hours to air out the house. Why does everyone always say microwaves cook from the inside out? In my limited experience with them, it's from the outside in. Several times I've grabbed things out of them hot on the outside and frozen solid in the middle... am I missing something??

I like to thaw quick and feed quick. Lying around all day defrosting lets them pick up so much bacteria etc. Thats why it is illegal to thaw human food that way in a commercial kitchen.

lol i think my mum wouldnt of been so pissed if i told her before she heated a couple pies n there lol ahhh i really cant stand the smel of a mouse nuked of even boild lol i just leave them on top of a heat mat now
