Hey all I got tagged this morning by gizmo while I was changing the water. I didnt see her hiding behind the hide my mistake. I tryed getting a pic while she was still on but I couldnt reach the camera as she was holding on to me and a branch in her enclosure. I'm pritty sure it wasnt a bite out of aggesion as she tried to kill my hand not just bite and let go.

Enjoy the pics

You posted photos a while back of a bite you copped from a wild carpet...no?

Sounds like it was a feeding response. My first proper bite was from a Maculosa that started swallowing my second knuckle (my finger was bent in two). I put it under water, it got the fright of it's life and let go.

lol true did get bitten byr a wild coastal but wasnt as bad as this and that was more a deffence bite

with this as soon as she bite me she coiled round my hand it took me about 15 minutes for her to just let go the btie didnt hurt but every now and then she would twist her head and ouchies

Next time try the water method, a lot safer for you and the snake. Trying to manually unravel the snake could break teeth and lead to a nasty mouth infection. Also, remember python teeth are recurved (they curve backwards) so to properly dislodge them you have to actually push the snakes head further onto whatever limb they are attached...

I do NOT recommend anyone grabbing a python by the head if you don't know how, lot's of damage can be done...

nice pics......... i still waiting for my first real bit ihad a few little nibbles for one of my jungles but that about it ...ihope it not going to hurt to much

First good tag huh jimmeh...plenty more to come in the future i can assure you that

Great tag Jimmy. Can't say I have had a real tag yet. But I am sure they will come in the future....

When the python bites,
When the bee stings,
When I am feeling....

Ooops wrong movie.

It never ceases to amaze me how much blood a python bite draws and when you wipe it away there is bugger all to show for it.

I have been bitten a few to many times and have yet to get any bite infected. The cutest ones are from hatchlings. Give the bite a squeeze and a ring of blood forms. Wipe it away and you can see nothing! Lots and lots of really fine teeth.
