Hello APS users, :)

One of my 2 marbled geckos has laid an egg! I was not sure if it was gravid or not, but I had suspicions, because the used-to-be-gravid-one was fat, and now is thin.
I do not know the sex of the other gecko. I'm not sure which one laid the egg, but I think I have a vague idea. How do I know if its fertile or not? It feels healthy, It feel like its full of something. I think it must have been laid 1-7 days ago. I think its 60 days for them to hatch.
I have no incubater, but I think I have heard that you can put the eggs in a small tub of sand, gravel, leaves, etc, and then leave the tub on a windowsill. This is what I have done. Have I done the right thing?:| Whats more, I can only find 1 egg, there should be 2! Why is this?

I would take it from the window sill and place the container in a spot with a more stable temperature.

Make sure that there is enough moisture in the container.

"candling' the egg with a bright torch will help you see veins (life).

Get some sphagnum moss, squeeze the begeezes out of it so as much of the water as possible is squeezed out, 3/4 lightly fill it with the moss, put the eggs in, lightly put some moss over the top, and leave the container sitting on a shelf in a warmish room, but not in direct sunlight at any time... leave the eggs be and refrain from playing with them.

Hi,
I have placed the container on top of the mantlepiece shelf. I have also torn some sponge off a sponge, and placed that in the tub to increase humidity.:)

For those geckos, room temp is fine, no need to cook them on mats or under lights, if you can keep them at roughly 20 - 25 degrees for most of the day, that will be enough.

Just get some moist sand for now and hurry up and get vermiculite or something simmilar!!

Yes and please make sure you dont turn the egg otherwise it will kill the embryo.

Come-on, I need an answer desperately from the last post I made on this thread! And also, I cannot find 2 eggs in the enclosure. I have triple checked. But marbled geckos almost always lay 2 eggs at a time! Is it possible that the gravid gecko has laid the first egg, and will lay the next very soon, or do they always lay them one after the other???
