i was just watching my jackys and one climbed onto the mesh ceiling
i came back to find him asleep :| i pulled him off and he was half asleep
put him near a hide and he climbed back up and fell asleep again
is this normal/ok?

My beardies love to sleep of the ground
Jackys being arboreal can be the same
Do they ever use their hides?

yeh i can understand them sleeping on a branch or something but this guys completely upside down
im worried he might stack it during the night and crack himself or something :\
and nah i havent seen them use their hides yet

yeah mine as hatchys used to sleep either vertical or almost upside down on a vine as thick as a shoelace
They might fall but if they do its how they learn

many dragon species findthat being laid on their back or in your case hanging on by their legs but laying upside down in a horizontal position, they find it very calming, and appear to be asleep. By memory, and dont quote me on it but i believe the lake eyer dragons are one type. My netteds will also do it for short periods if you hold them on thier backs in a horizontal position. Im sure others will have a better explanation, but its a start.
