Very grateful for reply @baker however there is no tile or wood tile to have the probe put under that can be moved without taking enclosure apart see pics (looks like it’s been routed on one level then a layer has been glued or staple gun ontop)
I guess I can use the paper as a “tile” and just set that a bit higher than the optimal temp (32)
I would love to have the confidence you guys have, however these are brand new enclosures with unknown heat cords and feel much more comfortable having a temp controller (I’ve also added cord info)

Edit: now that I think about it, previous owner never had a thermostat set up I think (no hole for the probes to go)
