need help identifing this snake

Hi I live in a small town called Mintabie. It is in the far northern region of South Australia. One of the staff member here at the school as captured and is intending on keeping the snake she found last nigt to much of our disbelief. We have told her what kind of snake it is, but she is un happy with what we came up with. Could someone please tell us what kind it is so she can let the thing go before it bites someone.

Its a Ringed brown Snake.
