i got my new snake yesterday, now the guy i got it off said it had its last feed 10 days ago, so i thought id offer it a pinky last night, but it didnt want it, should i just leave it a few days to settle in then offer again ?

cheers

tracey

I would let it settle in first, I had mine a week before I fed him and he took it nicely,

Though 10 days is alot for young ones?

I would wait and see what the experts say!

even though its been 10 days since last feed ?

Yes..I suppose you can try earlier if you're impatient..
It won't starve to death though.

It could comortably go for a month without food and have no ill effects, better to let it settle and not stress it out if its a newbie.

ok thanks all

i think monty is about to shed, his eyes arent milky anymore and his skin isnt faded no more either, i think ill try them both on wednesday

good idea

Usually before a shed there eyes will go milky and skin colour fade though, shouldnt reverse

The milkiness, you'll find, will come up for a few days or so, then fade back to normal for a couple days just before they shed. I'd say it will shed very shortly now so no point offering food for a few days now.
