New to the game

OK so my fiance and i are new to snakes but we're looking for a hatchling that will grow to 2-3m's ish, that also can be either already good or can be taught to be good with young children.

As we're new we don't know what breed of python we would like but i'd like something beautiful.

Any advice or pointing us on the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
