hi all got a quick question ive seen some enclosures with two or more lights what are the pros or cons with them because was out of town for a few days and when i got home my enclosure was at 22deg dont know how long for the globe went out was wonderin if i get another thermostat and hook it up to another heat lamp and put it on a lower temp to kick in or is there another way i can do it any comments or sugestiong would be greatly appreciated many thanks in advance.Ivo:D

the reason for having 2 heat fittings is soo you can run just a normal light or a ubv/uba light in the enclosure. in my enclosures i run a ceramic heat emitter & w URS 5.0 uvb bulb:)

& also you have to have a coolside & a hot side

Short term heat failure is not detrimental to your snake. Longterm can cause digestion problems if they're eating and can't find warmth, RI's can set in, and they may not thrive at lower temps than ideal. But a few days in summer? Not the end of the world. Just fix the lights and continue on.
